Moments I cherish mean nothing to you
Rejection leaves the heart and soul broken
So I value deceit above what's true
But in my dreams, and in my waking mind
We walk together, seeking the unknown
We laugh as we leave this slow town behind
The King and Queen – the world our golden throne
It isn't hard, you know, to live a lie
Contrary to the endless harsh critique
It's easy to charm people with false eyes
Keep back telling tears with flawless technique
I'll keep fantasies safe inside my head
The words I have rehearsed remain unsaid
