:bulletblue: Been with Craig three years today. I love him very much... I don't think I could function without him, I really don't. We're having a night in with a bottle of whiskey, a new movie and a Chinese takeaway. I will write him something today. :aww:

:bulletblue: I wrote a Tanka! [link] tell me what you think.

:bulletblue: It continues to rain. I am sincerely unamused.

:bulletblue: Joined an awesome new literature club: :icondeviantlit:. Two of my most admired deviants =M-PlayC3ll and ~Synith founded it, so it can't be bad . It's all helpful, on-topic stuff... just what we need.

UPDATES

:bulletblue: I wrote a little non-fiction piece on a memory I have; [link] It was quite odd for me, as I usually detach myself from my writing. I got some positive feedback, so maybe I should do some more sometime.

:bulletblue: One week until I'm seventeen. Oooh. Watch out, Britain, I'm going to be careering along the road in a tonne of metal.

:bulletblue: The Billing show draws closer! I'm looking forward to it; it'll be interesting to meet all the people I've been talking to over the last few months.

:bulletblue: Me and Craig have our three year anniversary thing on Saturday. :D I have bought him a lovely prezzie, but I can't tell you what it is, in case he reads this page.

On Proofing, Poetry and Perfume

Journal Entry: Mon Jul 7, 2008, 3:33 AM
Last three haikus of Haikuwrimo

5th
Delectable snaps:
Sharpened senses, higher thoughts.
Alive and vivid.

6th
Emotion divine;
Dreaming days return briefly,
But for the last time.

7th
Highlighter stains
Adorn and fragrance
My tired hands.

:bulletblue: Proofing all day today, so I'll sink into my happy little bubble of content grammar-nazism. :) I do love words... am I a geek? Maybe, but a happy geek.

:bulletblue: Wrote something outside of my usual style; I'd be very grateful for feedback. [link] I've tried to capture the London accent here (not cockney, more gangsta ), as I thought it would be interesting to write from the perspective of a group of people I generally look down on.

:bulletblue: Oh, rain. :( And lots of it. It makes such a difference to my mood. Still, at least I'm indoors and warm.

:bulletblue: Popped to Cambridge yesterday; picked up some lovely-smelling things from Lush. :aww: I am very pleased with them, and now I smell like berries!
